3D Scan options and improvements

• Undercut Analysis — Inclusion of new tools for the calculation of undercuts from an optimal and user-defined insertion axis.
• Enhanced Management of the Quality Map tool — Ensuring an informative visualization when needed by the user.
• Bite Alignment — enhanced speed of bite locking
• Heavy Occlusion Reduction — Reduction and elimination of heavy occlusion.
• Flexible Bite — Easily switch between the manual and automatic bite alignment modes.
• Hole Filling and Hole Highlighting Options — It is now possible to activate or deactivate hole filling for the finalization process
• Enhanced Margin Line Visibility — Enhanced visibility of the margin line in juxta-gingiva and sub-gingival cases

Improved Data Management Tools

• Optimized Management of Raw Scan Data — Automatic management and programmable removal of scan data: data sets - indication & prescription - remain available for review
• Improved Export Options — Can include patient identifier in local export files
• Availability of 3Shape Export Format — Creates a single file containing case details and data sets, that can be directly imported into the 3Shape Dental Designer software
• Optimized End-to-End Processing:

  • Functional improvements to reduce processing time when building data sets.
  • Approximately 25% faster compared to 3.4 release.

Richer ordering information

• Labsheet improvements — Richer information on lab prescription/order form:

  • Registration/license no./clinician no. has been added to lab prescription/order form (lab sheet) to fulfill regional prescription requirements
  • Left and right snapshots are now included in lab sheet.

New Case Review Display Options

• Rendering of 3D model in case review step: can now display in monochromatic setting to show untextured STL
• Preview of pre-op scan data before sending to lab

Improved Scanner UDI/SN visibility:

• Improved scanner identification and one-click copy via settings page

New Localization Strategy

Bug fixes

• Scanbody Preservation — Scanbody information that was previously lost during finalization is now preserved
• Bite Alignment — algorithm improvements to enhance the speed of bite locking and to overcome scan completion issues
• Sectorial scans — Alignment display issues have been resolved
• Hole Highlighting — Hole highlighting now re-activated.
• Heavy Occlusion Reduction — Reduction and improvement of heavy occlusion.
